About us
Everything about our philosophy and teachers

What we do
We offer diverse lessons and courses for the modern popmusician
Whether you're a beginner and would like to develop skills on an instrument or you're already a bit further and need some extra skills to keep developing, we can help you. With our team of teachers, we draw on many years of experience in the contemporary music industry and can thus provide knowledge of all facets involved in making music in the 21st century.
All our teachers have graduated from leading Dutch conservatories in Amsterdam or Rotterdam. Since their graduation they have all focused on their musical development through many different projects in the studio and on the Dutch stages. In addition, we have more than 75 years of teaching experience as private and school teachers. As a result, we have a lot of knowledge and experience to share with you.
Our teaching philosophy is of course primarily focused on the student. We like to help everyone get better at the skills they want to develop and do so in a way that suits the student. If a student can study well and is technically inclined, we will mainly feed that aspect. If someone mainly wants to learn classic rock songs on a guitar, we focus more on that. We also have students who only receive theory lessons and students who, in addition to instrumental lessons, also like to learn something about the music history of their favorite genre. At Popschool The Hague we try to facilitate it all. Ultimately, what matters is that the student can maximize their own skills and enjoyment of music.
